I’ll be honest, this is something I struggled with for a long time and a lot of new coaches struggle with this.
I know the feeling. You don’t want to miss anyone out….right?
Or maybe you feel like you want to help everyone and that if you narrow down you might not be able to reach some people!
However, when you become specific about who you help and what you help them solve, it does 5 incredible things for you and your business.
5 Reasons Why You Need To Be Super Clear!
- You become an expert in your niche: nobody wants to work with a jack-of-all-trades. When you narrow down, you get to focus your skills on a particular area and become the go-to person in that niche.
- You can charge more: People love to work with experts and are willing to pay a premium to work with a coach who is highly skilled in a particular area.
- It becomes easier for your people to notice you: coaches who are trying to target multiple niches are all over the place and it becomes harder to stand out in the crowd. When you are clear about your niche, it is easier to really dive deep into the pain points of your target market and speak to them in their language.
- It’s easier for people to refer you: when people think about the problem you solve, your name comes to their mind immediately because you are known for helping a specific group of people with a specific problem. They can easily refer you to others because you are clear about who you work with and what problem you solve.
- It simplifies your marketing: when you know who your target market is, it’s easier to know where to find them, whether they are offline or online.
Getting clear about your target market and ideal clients is the foundation of your business. If you get this part wrong, you will struggle! It’s as simple as that!
