Hate ‘Self Promotion’? Here’s Why You Need To Do It!

    I want to share something with you that you might not like but it’s so important if you want to succeed in your coaching or service based business.

    It’s about ‘self promotion’ (I don’t mean in a spammy cheesy way).

    I mean always putting out stuff that will help your ideal clients to know that you can help them!

    You see, if you want to keep at the top of your ideal client’s minds, then you have to do something to promote you and your business every single day!

    If you are not doing that, they are going to forget that you exist!

    No matter how awesome your services are, you will disappear from their memories and they will hire someone else (the person who is always in front of them consistently).

    You might not like the idea of ‘self promoting’ and I understand.

    I didn’t too because of my humble upbringing. I was always told not to draw too much attention to myself.

    I know that a lot of new coaches just starting out feel like that too.

    They just want to quietly do their thing and would rather that other people promote them.

    That’s the ideal situation actually (having other people talk and rave about you) but, when you are just starting out your coaching business, you have to do it yourself!

    Because the truth is that NOBODY else will!

    And as you start getting clients and helping them get amazing results, they will start to rave about you.

    It doesn’t have to be done in a salesy way…. (nope, not at all)!

    Infact if all you are doing is selling, selling, selling, all day long, you will turn off your clients.

    In business, I learned that I had to draw attention to my work and my business everyday if I wanted to get paying clients. They had to see me everyday in different ways before they could even begin to trust that I knew what I was doing!

    So when I started, I was sharing a lot of articles, tips and advice around my expertise on social media (particularly Facebook). I was doing videos, webinars, phone conferences.

    No one was talking about me at the time, but as I started being consistent in ‘self-promoting’ myself and putting myself out there, people started to notice me!

    So if you are happy with getting the occasional clients that trickle in once in 3 months, then maybe you don’t need this advice.

    But if you want consistent high-paying clients, please understand that NO ONE is going to get your business out there.

    You are the best person in the best position to show case your business especially if you are just starting out.
