How To Keep Going For Your Dreams Without Giving In Or Giving Up!

How To Keep Going For Your Dreams Without Giving In Or Giving Up!

miamiIn a few days, I will be jetting off to Miami (yahhhhh!!!!) all the way from the United Kingdom to surround myself with like minded women entrepreneurs who are going after their desires in life and making their dreams come true!

These women have a zero excuses policy in their lives and have totally ditched all their excuses and it’s such a privilege to spend a few days with them.

A few years ago, I would never have given myself the permission to fly all the way to the US for this event.

All sorts of excuses would have popped into my mind and sabotaged this opportunity.

Excuses like… oh it’s too expensive, I could use that money for something else…., or…. I can achieve my success on my own. I don’t need anyone (BIG FAT LIE.. oh yes I do and you do as well!)!

I’ve come to learn the importance of investing in myself and from what I see, the people who step up, surround themselves with like minded entrepreneurs, and also invest in themselves, are the people who are making great things happen.

Going to Miami to mastermind with high vibrational women entrepreneurs has been a strong desire of mine for a few months and it’s finally becoming a reality!

As a busy mama, it’s so easy to let your true desires slip under the carpet. It’s even easier to focus all your attention on your little ones that you forget all about yourself, who you are and what you really want for yourself.

I want to encourage you that you can have it all.

You can have a successful business and still be a fabulous mama and wife.

Here are 4 steps that has helped me to keep going for my desires…

1. Hold your vision close to your heart and guard it: What is your vision? What are your desires?

Write them down and read them everyday even if it’s just for 5 minutes a day (yes I know you are a busy mama).

Keeping your vision close to your heart, keeps it alive, otherwise it would slowly fade away and you’ll forget all about it.

Guard it! Don’t let well-meaning friends or family try to talk you out of it or discourage you.

By the way my vision is to become a millionaire for the glory of God by the time I’m 40! Big ask? Yes!

But I’m going to do it with God’s help! Amen! I talk about it all the time in my household and even my 5 year old knows that mummy is going to become a millionaire in a few years!

2. Surround yourself with like minded people – That’s the reason why I’m jetting off to Miami! If you have the opportunity, arrange childcare with your lovely husband or family and slip away for a few days to get reinvigorated and inspired by other women entrepreneurs.

There’s something so powerful about being among like-minded women who are all going for their desires.

3. Read, Read, Read – I can’t stress this enough. Read books that inspire you and push you to keep going.

If you don’t like reading (cos I’ll admit, I’m not a great reader like I used to be), then listen to the audio versions.

Here are some books that have been like medicine to me. When I feel like I’m starting to let my desires slip, I read a chapter or two or listen to the audios.

– Think And Grow Rich – by Napoleon Hill
– The Science of Getting Rich – by Wallace D. Wattles
– Purpose Driven Life – by Rick Warren

You can find audio books on www.audible.com. I encourage you to get these 3 books and consume them like your life depended on it!

4. Have a zero tolerance for excuses – yes, they will pop up! Those juicy well meaning excuses will always find a way of coming up.

I’ve found that doing all the 3 things I talked about will help you to resist excuses and go for what you want!

So here we go! I hope what I have just shared will help you keep going for your dreams. Being a mom and wife does not mean that you can’t achieve your own goals. Yes, you can!

My greatest joy is seeing you prosper in every area of your life.

So off I go to Miami. I will update you with pictures and what I learned when I get back.

Over to you…

What are your dreams, what do you do to keep the fire burning?  Share in the comments below and please share this post with another fabulous mama who is going for her dreams!

Have an amazing day!
